Player Reward Cards in Living Forgotten Realms

What are Player Reward Cards, and how do you get them?

Until late 2008 players who signed up for the RPGA Rewards program earnt a variable number of Player Reward points for each game they played as part of one of the RPGA Campaigns, and for every set number of points they had earned some Player Reward Cards were mailed out to them - some of these cards were subsequently sold for remarkably high prices on eBay. The last set of cards was mailed out at the end of 2008, at which point the RPGA switched to a new reward scheme. Now, as detailed here on the D&D website, there's just an RPGA DM Rewards program to reward people for running games. Physical Player Reward Cards are distributed as promotional items at conventions, and each january a downloadable pdf of the previous year's batch of Player Reward Cards is made available for all RPGA members to print out as many copies as they want of the cards their characters use.

When a new character begins their career they can only use two Player Reward Cards per adventure, but as they gain levels the number of cards they can use per adventure increases as detailed in the RPGA Character Creation Guide. Note that Quest Cards don't count towards this limit.

The Reward Card pdfs can be downloaded from this page on the D&D website.
